Beatty Museum Historical Society in Beatty, Nevada
The Beatty Museum and Historical Society is dedicated to the preservation of the history of the Beatty, Nevada area, including the Bullfrog Mining District. The museum presents you with an opportunity to experience life in the early 1900s; learn how the early miners lived, worked and played; venture through the; “Bullfrog Gold Rush” era; and learn about the ghost towns and attractions in the area. The museum is located at 417 Main Street, Beatty, Nevada.Beatty, Nevada is located on US Highway 95 at the junction of Nevada Highway 374, 115 miles north of Las Vegas and six miles from the Nevada-California border. It is the east gateway to Death Valley National Park and the heart of the Bullfrog Mining District. Nevada Highway 374 will take you to Death Valley and the Rhyolite ghost town. Beatty was established in 1904 and has an interesting history. Visit the museum, while in the Beatty area, and learn about the mining boom of the 1900s and how it impacts our lives today. Mission Statement
It is the intention of the Beatty Museum and Historical Society to preserve the history of the Bullfrog Mining District and Southern Nye County. A research center is currently being organized for historians, students, and the general public.
