Historic Wilmington (NC) Foundation

“To protect and preserve the irreplaceable historic resources 
of Wilmington and the Lower Cape Fear region.” 

The Historic Wilmington Foundation is a non-profit organization that focuses its efforts towards preserving the architectural heritage of the Lower Cape Fear region. Since its formation in 1966, the Historic Wilmington Foundation has successfully saved over 100 historic properties from demolition. Our mission is to continue promoting historic preservation in the community through educational programs, exhibits, community involvement and revolving fund activities.

9:00 am		 Cemetery Preservation Workshop
Renowned cemetery preservationist Jonathan Appell from New England will be conducting a full day workshop at Oakdale Cemetery from 9:00am -4:00pm. Please view the attached PDF for additional information and registration. This workshop will be limited to 35 participants to keep the hands on experience intimate.

6:30 pm		 HWF Annual Gala – Live Oaks on Masonboro Sound
Live Oaks on Masonboro Sound. Complimentary valet parking, seated dinner, formal attire, dancing under the stars with Carl Newton and the 5th Avenue Band and majestic water views. Partner with Historic Wilmington Foundation to protect and preserve our architectural heritage at Mrs. Sarah Parsley’s historic homestead.
